6 Time-saving beauty products for any budget
Wouldn’t it be nice to waltz into a makeup studio first thing in the morning and come out looking like a celebrity? Unfortunately, that doesn’t fit the time or budget of us regular women. But you can still look like a star with some time-saving beauty products that won’t break the bank.
Combo beauty products are always a great way to save time and money. Tinted moisturizer is an affordable three-in-one combo that will have you looking fabulous in no time.
A tinted moisturizer with SPF does a lot more than moisturize the skin, says stylist Jamie Miller of the Skyline Downtown Salon in Kansas City, Mo. It also evens out the skin and covers imperfections while offering protection from the harsh rays of the sun. Tinted moisturizers are especially nice in summer, when you don't want the melting mask feeling of heavier foundation makeup.
But some women shy away from tinted moisturizers because they don't get the coverage they rely on from foundation. No problem, says award-winning makeup artist Rochelle Rae. "Apply the tinted moisturizer before concealer. You'll need less concealer (and less time!).
Celebrity makeup artist Brett Freedman (whose clients include Vanessa Hudgens, Catherine Zeta Jones and Sienna Miller) suggests warming up your favorite foundation by mixing it with some gel bronzer. You'll enjoy your trademark color with a bit of extra glow.
Speaking of bronzer, says Miller, don't stop at the jaw line! "Bronzing body cream, mixed with body butter, will give you soft skin with a sun-kissed glow."
Facial towelettes are huge time savers, say Kate Duff and Alexi Mintz of 3floz.com. "You can remove makeup and clean your face with one swipe! And you can find them in every price point." And they're great for traveling -- no need to worry about getting your liquid cleanser through airport security!
To get some real bang for your buck, look for wipes that cleanse, tone and remove makeup. Then you'll have absolutely no excuse for going to bed with your makeup on!
