Matt Lauer’s Hamptons estate sure looks like the opposite of his TV personality

Twenty-five acres. In Sag Harbor. Let that sink in for a minute. The king of morning milquetoast Matt Lauer just put his 25-acre estate in Sag Harbor, New York, on the market for $18 million because he just upgraded to a waterfront estate in North Haven from Richard Gere that he picked up for $36.5 million, according to The Post

But my hunch is it’s his wife, Annette (yes, they’re still married), who is making design and real estate her side hustle. Because once you take a look at this gorgeous house, you’ll have to agree there’s no way Lauer has the flair to pull off the traditional-yet-bold interiors and the acres of meticulous landscaping that transport you to some kind of tasteful fairy tale.

The grounds include 25 gated acres of lush grass and beautiful secret gardens designed by a landscape architect named Miranda Brooks. There’s also the heated lap pool, pool house and tennis courts. You know… the basics.
