Is talking baby talk to your pets scientific or just plain ridiculous?

If you have a dog or cat (or any pet for that matter), you probably also have an uncontrollable urge to talk to it with that high-pitched singsong baby voice. Do your pets really need to be talked to like an infant, or do they think you're, well, ridiculous?

Talk like a baby because everybody is doing it.

An anonymous survey indicates that 91 percent of pet owners do baby talk to their cats and dogs. We're guessing you do, too!
