I touched Grumpy Cat and it was amazing (PHOTOS)

It's not often that a gal like me gets to rub shoulders with the rich and famous. But today was different. Today, I stood amid a crowd like every other fan girl, patiently waiting for my chance to meet Grumpy Cat. And all I can say is — mind blown.

Yes, people — Grumpy Cat is real. It may be easy to think of her as nothing more than an internet meme, but when you get the chance to scratch between her little ears, you quickly realize she's more than that. She's cute and cuddly, and actually quite friendly, despite her reputation.

Grumpy was in Surprise, Arizona, to kick off the Grump-O-Lantern promotion by Friskies, where participants can download a free Grumpy Cat pumpkin carving template and share their carved creations under the hashtag #grumpkin. Talk about a fun way to get people pumped up for Halloween!

As you can see, Grumpy wasn't super impressed with her pumpkin lookalikes, but what she didn't seem to mind were all of her loving fans.

Most of all, this one...

Naturally, I was pretty happy that PetSmart and Friskies gave me a chance to meet this internet legend. But, even if you haven't met Grumpy in person, you can still get in on the fun. Check out the time-lapse video below to learn how to create your very own Grump-O-Lantern.
