The 2018 Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills on Sunday night wasn’t just about entertainment (or Oprah Winfrey); it was a night of celebs standing in solidarity. Because #TimesUp, folks. This year, Golden Globes attendees wore black in support of Time’s Up, a powerful campaign launched on New Year’s Day in The New York Times to show support for women who have been sexually assaulted and harassed in their workplaces. The letter published in The Times was drafted and signed by over 300 women who work in film, television and theater, and the Globes included quite the roster of stars dressing dark in the name of progress. And some of the chicest (and most inspiring) were the preggos of Hollywood.
And there were no frumpy caftans in sight for the pregnant celebs joining the #TimesUp movement — just a lot of glitz, glamour and sultry jet black. Overall, it was an inspiring night for women, and we think these babies-on-the-way have definitely lucked out in the mom department.
America Ferrera and her hubby, Ryan Piers Williams, revealed on Instagram with an adorable onesie that 2018 will be the year of a very special arrival — their first child. Ferrera appeared to have a blast at the Globes with her date, Natalie Portman. We’re jealous.
A very happy and very pregnant Eva Longoria cradled her baby belly as she posed with pal Reese Witherspoon (who is not expecting another kid… yet) at the Globes. Longoria is expecting a boy with husband José “Pepe” Bastón.
Supermodel Miranda Kerr looked amazing at the Globes and is also pregnant — and her slinky halter gown has gone where no maternity-wear has gone before. This is her first child with husband Evan Spiegel; she shares son Flynn, 6, with actor Orlando Bloom.
Alexi Ashe Meyers
The host of the 75th Golden Globes, Seth Meyers, was all smiles alongside his pregnant wife, Alexi Ashe Meyers. The pair also has son Ashe Olson, 21 months.
The super-pregnant Hilarie Burton couldn’t actually make it to the 2018 Globes, but she posted a pic of herself on Twitter wearing black in solidarity at home while she watched the award show — using the hashtag #WhyIWearBlack.
Burton wrote: “…because this rebirth and awakening coincided with my pregnancy, my unborn daughter and I wear black. For all the mothers and daughters and sisters – blood related or otherwise. I have been changed for the better because of this sisterhood. #grateful.”
She and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (of The Walking Dead) are expecting a baby girl.
