With superstar parents like beloved actress Gabrielle Union and 13-time NBA All-Star Dwyane Wade, it’s no wonder their daughter Kaavia James is already showing the world that she’s a force to be reckoned with.
On April 22, the Bring It On star shared a series of showstopping, adorable photos of her daughter Kaavia posing dramatically Kaavia’s Instagram page. She shared the photos with the caption reading, “A brand, lifestyle, or both 😉 🔗 in bio for for all #ShadyBaby goodies! 🤗”
In the first photo, we see the IRL Shady Baby posing dramatically to her brand’s clothing, shocking everyone with how grown up she already looks. She’s posing exactly like the cartoon on her T-shirt, and rocking a metallic pink skirt we’re kind of obsessed with right now! In the second photo, we see Kaavia staring upward, showing fans not only her sensational and colorful outfit, but how tall she’s gotten so quickly! Seriously, we remember when she was a baby, and that felt like yesterday. We end the post with a snapshot of Kaavia posing with the dark sky in the background. We already knew Kaavia was a dancer in the making, but these photos prove modeling could be in her future as well!
The You Got Anything Stronger? author and Wade welcomed their daughter Kaavia James, 4, via a surrogate back in Nov. 2018. Union also mothers Wade’s three children from previous relationships named Zaire, 21, Zaya, 15, and Xavier, 9.

Not only has she already worked on this Shady Baby line, but she also had a line called the Kaavia James Janie x Jack collection. Union said that Kaavia actually helped with the creative direction, saying to InStyle, “We showed her everything that we saw, and let her feel the materials. There were things where she was like, ‘No,’ and we weren’t trying to force her into anything, so anything that she didn’t spark to, it’s not in the collection. Everything you see is Kaavia James. Not only inspired by, but approved by.”
