The singer was all about experimenting with her look and proved that maternity fashion can be smoking hot.

“I’m enjoying not having to worry about covering up my tummy. If I feel a little chubby, it’s like, whatever! It’s a baby!” she told PEOPLE. “…Right now, being pregnant, some days you just feel like, ‘Ugh, I just want to lay here on this couch all day.’ But when you put on a little face and a little lipstick, you transform.”

Rihanna needed a stunning dress to accompany her breathtaking Oscars performance of “Lift Me Up” from Black Pather: Wakanda Forever, and boy did she deliver. The singer’s strapless black dress was covered in crystals, including sparkly strands reminiscent of peacock feathers that draped perfectly over her baby bump. The skirt of the dress was made of a subtle black lace, and her elbow-length black leather gloves pulled the whole iconic look together.

Rihanna reminded the world why she is a maternity fashion icon during her walk down the champagne carpet (ICYMI: They swapped the traditional red for a champagne color!) at the Oscars.
