Fun-Plex, Omaha

Thrill seekers at Fun-Plex can easily spend a day at the Wild Ride Park riding roller coasters, go-karts, bumper boats and so much more. Keep in mind that height requirements are strictly enforced, but some rides allow children to ride with adults.

The Wet and Wild Water Park has the same requirements, but young children are allowed to ride with parents on all of the rides. Some of the pools are deep, so swimmers need to be proficient. For the little ones who just want to play in the water, the Kiddie Pool is available for children ages 10 and under only. Swim suits are mandatory, so plan accordingly. Changing rooms and lockers are located near the water park entrance.

There is no admission fee for Fun-Plex and parking is free, but guests have to have a “Wet & Wild” or “Big Deal” wristband to enter the water park. Customers who wish to ride the rides may purchase a wristband or single tickets.

The miniature golf course recently received a face-lift and features 18 holes and fun challenges such as water hazards and sand traps. The cost to play is minimal, only three or four dollar depending up whether you bought a wristband.

An arcade is located inside Primetime Pizza and features redemption games, classic arcade games and a basketball hoops game with four levels of difficulty. The games operate by tokens ($0.25 = 1 token) and players can redeem their tickets for prizes.

You may not bring your own food or drinks into the park, but you are allowed to leave and return on the same day, so consider packing an ice chest for lunch and leave it in your car until you’re ready to eat.

Finally, don’t forget your sunscreen!
