The Phoenix Zoo is renowned the world over for its spectacular holiday ZooLights display. And now it’s set to host Radio Disney’s local “Noon Year’s Eve” celebration for those looking to ring in 2012 as a family.
The Phoenix Zoo (with AM 1580) is one of 19 markets around the country to host Radio Disney’s Noon Year’s Eve events this Dec. 31. As the number one radio network for kids, tweens and families, Radio Disney invites listeners around the country to ring in 2012 as a family with its annual Noon Year’s Eve celebration, taking place at unique sites such as zoos, museums and shopping centers.
Each Noon Year’s Eve celebration will feature the best songs of the year from Radio Disney’s Top 50 of 2011, as well as interactive games and prizes. Many of the Radio Disney Noon Year’s Eve celebrations across the country will incorporate special balloon drops and a family-friendly countdown.
The Phoenix Zoo’s celebration activities will also include New Year’s resolution writing and an apple cider toast. The local event takes place Dec. 31 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The Phoenix Zoo is an ideal place to host this celebration because it is already in the spirit of the season. The Zoo features ZooLights through Jan. 8, 2012, displaying 3.5 million lights and more than 600 sculptures.
Enjoy Noon Year’s Eve during the day and then return to the Zoo between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. to take in a spectacular light display… and still have the kids in bed before midnight!
