The Splashpad in Derry, New Hampshire is a great place to play with your kids — or to just watch them cool off!
Located in Derry’s Don Ball Park, the Splashpad — and the whole water-friendly park with sprinklers, splashers and soakers — is a great place to cool off in the summer! (Note that the park doesn’t have water slides or a pool.)
Usually open on weekends, the city will turn on the water during the week on an as-needed basis if there’s hot weather. Check the city’s site for dates and times!
Of course, kids visiting the splashpad park must be supervised by grown-ups, and swimsuits and appropriate footwear (particularly sandals) are required. Also, no pets are allowed. Get a list of all the splashpad rules here.
There are nearby playground areas and pavilions, which, although they cannot be reserved, are great for picnicking. Also at Don Ball Park, you’ll find several athletic fields: two practice fields, a game only field, a softball field and a baseball diamond.
The park and splashpad are open to everyone free of charge.
