Arizona Biltmore

“The Biltmore” was built in 1929 as one of Phoenix’s first resorts and was constructed in grand form by brothers Albert, Charles and Warren McArthur under the vision of architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Adults aren’t the only ones that can enjoy the grandeur of this classic hotel; kids are welcome and can spend the day at the “Kids Korral”. After a recent $24 million renovation, the resort is now both a tourist and local destination. Coyote Camp at the Hole-in-the-wall River Ranch is open to children, ages 4 – 12 years old. Here kids get a hands-on introduction to Arizona’s colorful Western folklore, culture and geography within the confines of an award-winning children’s program. Activities include swimming, creating art projects, cooking. All activities are centered around a daily theme such as “Desert Friends” and “Arizona Day.” While the program is open to children of all registered guests, capacity is limited and advanced reservations are required.

The Westin Kierland Resort and Spa

The resort is located in the desert setting with upscale shopping and dining within walking distance. There are a number of family amenities and kids programs available that can entertain children of all ages. The family FUN program includes things like “The Compass” where kids start an expedition of sorts at check in and go on a scavenger hunt throughout the grounds. What Arizona resort would be complete without the water activities and at the Westin Kierland you have the adventure water park that features a 900′ lazy river and a 110′ waterslide. The Westin La Paloma Resort and Spa
