Chirp, chirp! What were our favorite celebrity moms tweeting this week? Gwyneth Paltrow sends birthday wishes to her son Moses, while Mariska Hargitay writes about her childhood. Jenny McCarthy posts Easter pics, while Vanessa Lachey and Jenna Fischer round out our top celebrity mom tweets of the week.
Top birthday tweet: Gwyneth Paltrow
“Big day for us,” tweeted Gwyneth Paltrow on April 8. “Moses Bruce Paltrow Martin is 6!”
Moses, pictured here in 2009 when he was 3 years old, was named after Gwyneth’s dad, who died from cancer.
“Well, I think he’s the man to live up to it!” she told People about the baby name choice. “When we were pregnant with Apple, if she was a boy, she would’ve been named Moses. We just always had the name… Moses to me is just such an amazing name. Plus, he was born on the holiest Sabbath of the year, which is the Saturday before Passover. And he was born at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York… And it was my father’s Hebrew name.”
Snarky tweet: Jessica Simpson
“Last chance to see me “fat” aka PREGNANT on the cover of Elle,” tweeted Jessica Simpson, possibly referring to The View host Joy Behar’s comment about her pregnancy weight gain. “I loved this shoot, only on stands for a few more days!!!”
(We think you looked fab, Jessica!)
‘We’ve totally been there’ tweet: Jenna Fischer
“My hair looks like sh*t today,” wrote The Office star and mom Jenna Fischer, with the hashtags “oh well” and “too busy to fix it.”
Cute Easter tweet: Jenny McCarthy
She also took to Twitter to announce the new shoe she designed for ShoeDazzle, with the profits to benefit Generation Rescue for children with autism.
“Hey ladies! It’s here!” she wrote. “The shoe I designed. It’s hot as sh*t! The last shoe I did sold out in a week. Get on it! Whoop!”
Gushy mommy tweet: Hilary Duff
Judging by Hilary Duff‘s tweets, she loves being a first-time mom to baby Luca!
“Almost home to feed my little bambino! Nice to get away for an hour to do something good for myself! But I miss his little face when I’m gone,” she tweeted.
“No better feeling than a peaceful baby sleeping on your chest…wonder what he’s dreaming about?” she wrote, with the hashtag “happy mommy.”
Stylish tweet: Kourtney Kardashian
“Deep breath. Been struggling a little with claustrophobia…any other preggos feel that way too?” tweeted Kourtney Kardashian, who is seven months pregnant with her second child.
“What do you think of my NYC style? I always love a good red dress,” she tweeted, with a link to her blog. “I rarely wear anything to my knees, but I happened to love the length with the shape of the dress, especially being pregnant.”
“I am wearing Pinkyotto dress, Christian Louboutin pumps and a Celine bag,” she wrote.

FYI tweet: Mariska Hargitay
You probably know Mariska Hargitay for her role as Detective Olivia Benson on the hit show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, but what you may not know is she is the daughter of the sexy 1950s actress Jayne Mansfield and actor/bodybuilder Mickey Hargitay. Her mother was killed in a horrific car accident in 1967 and Mariska, who was just 3 at the time, was asleep in the back seat of the car. She survived the accident and was raised by her father.
“When did u learn Italian!? It was fun to know it! Have you ever been to Italy before!?” tweeted one follower to Mariska.
“When I was a little girl, I spent a lot of time in Rome when my dad was shooting some spaghetti westerns,” she replied.
Mariska, pictured here with her son August, has also just adopted two babies, Amaya and Andrew.
Teacher’s pet tweet: Vanessa Lachey
Vanessa Lachey (formally Vanessa Minnillo) has started a fun new tradition on Twitter.
“I thought I’d do a fun fact/thought every Mon for moms to be,” wrote Vanessa, who is pregnant with her first child with husband Nick Lachey. “Just things I’ve learned & want to share. Dads can read too. #MaternityMonday”
“Best Sleep Position: on your side, the left side in particular!” she wrote for one Maternity Monday. “It’s hard, but try. Your back is the worst! Pillows help.”
“FOLIC ACID! If ur not already taking it, START!” she wrote on another Monday. “All women of child bearing age need it to help prevent birth defects!”
