5 Teen stars I hope my daughter emulates
In a world of Taylor Momsens and Miley Cyruses, a mom to daughters has to ask herself, "Where have all the good girls gone?" Teen stars are exposed to so much at a young age, it's easy to see why so many of them end up in rehab before they reach the legal drinking age. But when young girls everywhere are looking for a teen star to emulate, what's a mom to do? If I knew the answer to that, I'd be a millionaire, but I can share with you the five teen stars that I hope my daughter emulates.
Young Alyson Stoner is a triple threat – she sings, dances and acts (you may have seen her in Cheaper by the Dozen, The Suite Life with Zack & Cody and Camp Rock. She even voices Isabella on Disney's Phineas and Ferb. (Yep, it's all about diversifying… even in young Hollywood!) Perhaps it is her Ohio roots that keep her grounded, but Alyson has managed to stay free of scandal in her young career. We hope it stays that way.

Selena Gomez, star of the movie, Monte Carlo, has become a household name and she's only 18. Though Selena never imagined she'd be a role model to young girls everywhere, it's a job she takes very seriously. She recently told PEOPLE: "I'm human, I'm not perfect. I make mistakes all the time, but I guess my job is to keep those mistakes to myself, which I'm already fine doing and just try to be the best I can be for those kids."

You might remember Miranda Cosgrove as the pretentious little girl in School of Rock, but your daughter knows Miranda as the star of Nickelodeon's iCarly, a sensation among the teen set. The show has even attracted the likes of the president's wife. That's right. Michelle Obama makes a guest star appearance on the show, which is set to air in January. Any show that is bringing Michelle Obama to the attention of teens across America deserves our respect!

The original Little Miss Sunshine is only 15, but she has already received nominations from the Screen Actors Guild and the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Abigail plays interesting roles and is known as for her seriousness and commitment to her craft, as well as being very close to her family.

Move over, Haley Joel -- Emily Osment is Hollywood's rising star. More than just an actress and singer, Emily takes pride in writing her own lyrics and working with some of the industry's hottest artists. And she's vocal about the fact that she works hard and wants more than just fame. She wants to be taken seriously. On her web site, she says: "I'm a serious musician. And if I can convince myself of that, I don't think it will be too hard to convince the rest of the world of that, too. I've given 1000% to making this album… I won't settle for mediocrity." Pretty solid for a 19 year old.
