Warren G gets regulated

Rhythm and blues artist Warren G was arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to sell early Sunday morning.

In trouble with the lawCops pulled over the artist, real name Warren Griffin III, and his friend Ryan Butler for running a red light at 1:40 AM. When cops searched the car they found enough pot to up the charges from mere possession to intent to sell.

A police spokesperson said she did not know the exact amount of marijuana seized.

Griffin and Butler each posted $20,000 bail and were released Sunday morning.

Warren G, who grew up in Long Beach, is best known for his songs "Regulate" and a cover of "I Shot the Sheriff."
