Actor Ben Stiller was all smiles at the 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills on Sunday — and we’re pretty sure we know why. Stiller brought his 16-year-old daughter, Ella (whom he shares with ex-wife Christine Taylor) along for the night of fun, and both were definitely glowing.
The two strolled the red carpet together, grinning. Ella rocked a gorgeous blue strapless J. Mendel gown looking completely composed — no biggie, just one of the biggest award ceremonies of the year. Inside the theater, the pair took fun father-daughter selfies.
Stiller directed Escape at Dannemora, which garnered Patricia Arquette a trophy for best actress in a limited series or TV movie. Not too shabby!
The win for the Dannemora director was even sweeter because Stiller’s daughter was there to celebrate. Stiller spoke to Parade back in 2016, giving Ella the best compliment of all: “My daughter’s smart, focused. She doesn’t take any crap.” He also told Parade Ella reminds him of his late mother, actor Anne Meara. “When we moved back to New York [Ella] discovered musical theater and she loves it,” he also said in the Parade interview.
Ella’s mom is Stiller’s Zoolander costar Christine Taylor. The couple split in May 2017 but has remained remarkably close. In July, the two co-parents were spotted enjoying time together, and in August, they took Ella to see a match at the U.S. Open.

Stiller and Taylor also saw the Broadway-bound musical Be More Chill together. Stiller and Taylor also share son Quinlin, 13.
So, is a reconciliation possible for this still-happy family? Taylor was evasive in October when queried about the possibility. “We’re a big family,” she said to Us Weekly. “We’re together all the time.”
She then characterized her relationship with her ex-husband as “wonderful.” Hmmmm. That’s pretty high praise coming from an ex. Clearly, the two are great co-parents, but we admit it: We’d love to see these two reunite as costars IRL.
