Eva Longoria is living her best pregnant life. The actor, who is expecting her first child with husband José “Pepe” Antonio Bastón, threw a gorgeous gender-neutral baby shower that proved it is entirely possible to throw a baby-related event that’s not saturated in pink or blue.
Longoria instead accentuated the outdoor shower, held at the iconic Lombardi House in Los Angeles, with pops of yellow and white and included fun features like an Instagram-worthy balloon wall and a massive floral structure that spelled out “Baby Bastón.”
Oh, and if it weren’t already cute enough, Longoria also asked her guests — including Elizabeth Banks, Sophia Bush, Melanie Griffith, Marisa Tomei and Ana Navarro — to wear pajamas so they could sip their summery drinks in style and comfort.
“What a beautiful day with all my girls,” she captioned one photo. “Thank you for your constant guidance and support! I love y’all so much!”
But Longoria’s family and friends weren’t the only ones who offered their support. In another post, Longoria praised Amazon for helping her set up both the event and her baby gift registry, which includes gender-neutral onesies, a three-pack of baby swaddle blankets, an organic cotton changing table and a bottle sanitizer. I mean, for a celebrity, she sure seems practical, no?
If you were hoping her registry would hint at the sex of her baby, you’re out of luck. Though some outlets have reported she’s having a boy, Longoria has expertly kept that information from the public, which is likely difficult to do while she makes the rounds on talk shows as she busily promotes her 2018 films, Overboard and Dog Days. As much as we’d love all the details, we can totally respect Longoria’s desire to keep some things to herself. After all, having your life and belly continuously in the public eye seems exhausting (not that we’d know).
Though the baby, who is due in June, is Longoria’s first child, she has already had some valuable experience raising her three stepchildren, Tali, Jose and Mariana. We can’t wait to see some of those baby gifts get put to good use (hint: pics, please, Eva).
