'Momager' Kris Jenner Is Every Grandma
When "momager" became a word, we're not exactly sure. But that's how Kris Jenner — the grand-matriarch of the ever-growing Kardashian-Jenner clan — seems to be permanently branded. Although she may be the most famous momager of our time, these days, she's relishing the role of grandmother (grandmomager?).
This week, Kris Jenner made her first public appearance since daughter Kylie Jenner's baby was born on Feb. 1. She attended the Rachel Zoe Collection Presentation and Dinner in Los Angeles, and she was more than happy to chat with People about Kylie's new life.
“She’s amazing. An amazing mom,” Kris said. On the topic of Kylie's 11-minute pregnancy journey video — “To Our Daughter” on YouTube, Kris didn't hold back. “I was bawling! I was crying so hard, especially at the end."
Kris is featured in the video as well; it begins with her own pregnancy and the birth of Kylie. (Awwww.) Later in the video, Kris says directly to Kylie's baby, "I can't wait to see you, meet you, kiss you, love you, teach you things that maybe only I can teach you." We're telling you, Grandma Kris is a natural. Kris also gushed in Kylie's video, "The baby is so lucky because she has the best mom." (Um, no offense, Kim and Kourtney and Khloé?)
Like oh-so many grandmas, Kris isn't shy with the advice. She told Us she said to Kylie, “Enjoy every second." She added, "I think she's excited."
Not as excited as we are to learn the name of Kylie's baby. According to Us, Kris said she wasn't involved in the naming process — but OMG are fans going crazy trying to guess the baby's new moniker. Top theories include: Butterfly (a favorite symbol of Kylie's), Monarch (also a butterfly) and Posie (the name of the Lip Kit creator's latest beauty product). Others are obsessed with the floral arrangement in the shape of a C (sent by Aunt Khloé) that Kylie recently shared on social media. The C conspiracy crowd insists that we're about to be introduced to a young Crop Top or Culotte or Chevy Jenner Scott. (OK, we made those up).
Whatever the new baby's name is, she's got a fleet of doting new aunties and cousins, and a grandmomager who already adores her to pieces. Not a bad start in life.
