Human ray of sunshine Cameron Diaz and her husband, Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden are trying to have a baby, and it hasn't been easy. Us Weekly reports the pair has tried everything from supplements to IVF in an effort to conceive.

A source tells the magazine, “It’s been a long, hard struggle with many ups and downs. Cameron would love more than anything to be a mom.”

Us adds that none of the fertility treatments have worked so far, but the pair isn't ruling out adoption or surrogacy, either. Diaz hasn't made any official statement on her experiences with fertility, but as plenty of parents know, the road to having a child can be rough.

Through the entire process, Madden has stood by Diaz's side. According to Us, their fertility struggles have even brought the couple closer together.

"Benji hasn’t gone through what Cameron has physically, but he always lets her know this is their struggle and they’re in it together," the source revealed. "He would do anything for her.”

On the bright side, at least Diaz and Madden have plenty of celeb pals to look to for advice. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have been sharing their own fertility journey; Kim Kardashian West has as well. Us reports those success stories are keeping Diaz optimistic about her own path to parenthood. We're rooting for these two.
