The Kardashians Throw a Moana Birthday Party for North West & Penelope Disick
Ah, summertime! Can you smell the Kardashian party fever in the air? We can. It's the scent of tropical drinks, Jimmy Choo flip-flops, $400 sunscreen and the sweat of 100 ripped bodyguards. And that's just for the Kardashian offspring's birthday parties.
First cousins North West and Penelope Disick just turned 4 and 5 respectively, and their family spared no expense on their combined summer birthday bash. The theme? Moana.
When we turned 5, our parents got really crazy and went all out on matching Winnie the Pooh paper party hats, napkins and a vinyl tablecloth. North and Penelope scored with a Moana bash that rivaled the actual movie's budget.
There were dancing characters! Wigs! Polynesian costumes! An inflatable "surf" house! A pig petting zoo! (Really. We swear.) Birthday girl/fashionista North was rocking a two-piece outfit and serious flower action: leis and a tropical blossom crown.
(We would ask how the Kardashian posse expects to top this next summer when the cousins' next June and July birthdays roll around except we know they will totally top this next summer.)
Auntie Khloé Kardashian was on hand with the girls' moms, Kim Kardashian West and Kourtney Kardashian. Other guests included Larsa Pippen and her daughter Sophia and Daphne Joy and her son (wait for it) Sire.
Because a Kardashian party would not be complete without a guest named Sire. You know it and we know it. (Note to self: Find local child named Sire and invite to kid's birthday party. "Stallion" would work too.)
What did everybody chow down on? Oh, it was good: mac and cheese, ribs, a pair of cakes, flavored ice treats and the thick, chewy envy of all who were not invited.
The family shared photos on social media (naturally!) of the festivities. Kourtney Kardashian posted a shot of herself and two friends on the surfboard in the bounce house captioned, “The only three grown-ups (sort of) to go on."
She also posted a pic of baby Dream Kardashian (daughter of her brother Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna). Dream, unlike the rest of the crowd, was not feeling the Moana love.
Still. We'd like to come back as Kardashian babies in our next lives, please.
