Venus Williams May Have Just Revealed the Sex of Serena's Baby
Ah, family. You can't really expect them to keep any secrets when it comes to a baby on the way — and we're thinking Venus Williams just spilled the beans on the sex of little sister Serena Williams' child.
It was an interview with Eurosport, and Venus Williams had just been asked what Serena's child will call her. Venus said, "She's going to call me 'favorite aunt.'" Say what?!
Oops! Eurosport, 15. Venus Williams, love.
Serena Williams' fans have been madly searching for any clues about whether or not she's having a boy or a girl, and it looks like Venus unwittingly lobbed a big one into the frenzied crowd of the internet.
Hopefully, Serena will forgive her big sis and nobody will wind up with a tennis racket smashed over their head.
That wasn't all: Venus also confided to Eurosport that she and their other sisters, Isha and Lyndrea, all have fingers crossed that the new baby will have one of their names:
"We’re all like, 'Baby V, baby Lyn, baby Isha.' We all want the baby to be named after us."
Ohhhhhhh, sisters! (We're picturing Serena in serious #FacePalm mode.)
Serena had said she was keeping the baby's sex a surprise for the actual delivery, so maybe Venus is just speculating aloud that it might be a girl. It is a pretty girl-heavy family, after all.
Have we heard anything about Venus' words from Serena or her husband-to-be Alexis Ohanian confirming or denying the "it's a girl" theory? That would be a no.
Maybe it's all just an elaborate ruse to keep us guessing... but our bet is that Auntie Venus just let the cat out of the bag.
