Jordan Peele and Chelsea Peretti Are Expecting a Super-Funny Baby
We are the first to admit that we get a little ramped up when we hear that two funny people have united to make a funny baby. This world, in case you haven't noticed, is desperately in need of its funny people right now. And two of our tippy-top favorites are Jordan Peele (Key and Peele) and Chelsea Peretti (Brooklyn Nine-Nine).
The two announced that they are expecting their first kid — who we predict will pratfall out of the womb, do a spit take and slip on a banana peel, all before being issued the standard candy-striped hospital baby blanket and little hat. Peretti announced the news by sharing a photo of her bump inside a swanky mirrored art installation. (Because they are just that cool! Funny people are cool and go to art installations!)
But our favorite part of this pregnancy announcement is Peretti's caption:
“Beyonce schmonce,” she wrote, poking fun at Bey's world-dominating twins announcement earlier in the week.
What? You didn't know Peretti and Peele were together? (We think it sounds better than Key and Peele — no offense, Keegan-Michael Key. We love you, too.) The two sneaky-pants comics have actually been together for more than three years. They eloped, because again: coolness factor through the roof. Peele revealed the news during an April 2016 appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, and Peretti confirmed that news on Instagram shortly thereafter:
“Eloped a bit ago … our only witness was this lil guy,” Peretti wrote. D'awwww. Can we be your dog and listen in on your funny, funny, nonstop hilarity? And sleep on your laps?
No? What? We're creeping you out? Ah. We do that. Sorry.
