Porsche Thomas — actor, model and new mother — is plenty happy in her own skin, thanks very much.
The daughter of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Peter Thomas posted a gorgeous, happy shot of her very pregnant self in a bikini on Instagram on Dec. 29, just prior to the birth of her twins.
We’d really love to report that well-wishers flooded her Instagram account with nothing but congratulations. Sadly, Thomas was immediately slammed with a flood of racially offensive trolling.

The hateful comments targeting her skin — “no disrespect but why is her stomach so black?” and “nasty” — haven’t kept Thomas down. But the racist responses to her photo still gave her plenty of SMH moments.
“Most of the negative comments I received were from black people, a lot of dark-skinned black people, a lot of young black people, which is crazy to me,” she said.
“We’d don’t really get to see black baby bumps and when we do, people have a negative reaction to it, for some reason, like it’s vulgar,” Thomas commented to BET. “I don’t hold on to other people’s opinions that have nothing to do with me. I laugh at the ignorance.” she said.
“I know it exists, it’s there and it’s sad,” she continued. “The fact that we’re in a Hitler era made it less funny… But I don’t let things like that bother me. I’m pretty secure in myself.”
So secure, in fact, that Thomas posted another pregnant bikini photo — along with a classy-as-hell response to her haters — on Instagram on Jan. 2.
“While some of y’all been in my comments criticizing the blackness that is my belly and me during what shoulda been your holiday cheer, I been over here enjoying life, growing tiny humans, performing miracles and hopefully getting even blacker #justsaying #melaninpoppin #twins#babybump #noairbrushneeded #love and be #loved,” Thomas wrote.
