Check out Mark Zuckerberg's 360-degree video of his kid's first steps
It's not uncommon for parents to post videos to Facebook of their kids doing, well, everything. Those first few steps are a particularly big milestone. But while most of us might get a few dozen likes and comments, one particular toddler's walking debut has been viewed no fewer than 13 million times.
The star of the clip is Max Zuckerberg, the 13-month-old daughter of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, pediatrician Priscilla Chan. And, of course, this is no ordinary video; Zuckerberg filmed a 360-degree video of Max's first steps. Viewers can scroll left and right to see the whole room and witness Max running into her dad's arms after he asks her, "Come give me a hug? Yay!"
As his daughter points to the lens and says, "Da?" Zuckerberg states, "Yeah, that’s a 360 video camera. This is modern walking."

Like the social media mogul says in the caption to his video, modern parents have a whole new way of sharing their kids' first steps with friends and family. Once upon a time, the date would be recorded in a baby book or filmed with a handheld camcorder. Nowadays, we have social media and 360-degree videos, and who knows what future generations of parents will do?
