Former Bachelorette stars Ashley Herbert and J.P. Rosenbaum have welcomed their second baby.
The baby girl, named Essex Reese Rosenbaum, has pride of place on Herbert’s Instagram page, showing off a pretty incredible head of dark hair and an enormous floral headband. Essex joins big brother, 2-year-old Fordham Rhys.
Second-time dad Rosenbaum also took to Instagram to reveal his new dad fears, captioning a snap of the parents and their newborn, “Day 2 nearly over and hopefully headed home soon where my perpetual fear of future boyfriends begins.”
Traditionally, Essex is a baby boy name, and it’s also a place name in the south of England, U.K. It’s never appeared on the U.S. top 1,000 baby name list, making it a truly unique choice. Middle name Reese is a more common baby girl name choice. A Welsh name meaning “ardor,” it’s remained popular since Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon appeared on our movie screens, and last year charted at No. 173.
Pediatric dentist Herbert was the Season 7 Bachelorette, and offered construction manager Rosenbaum her final rose during the May 2011 finale. In return, Rosenbaum proposed with a diamond ring. The couple married on Dec. 1 in a Los Angeles ceremony, which was, in true reality TV lovebird fashion, aired on ABC.
