Baby Journey River Green arrived Aug. 4 and is little brother to Noah Shannon, 3, Bodhi Ransom, 2, and Kassius, 14, Green’s son from a previous relationship.

A new “word name” that doesn’t have a traditional meaning, Journey is an unusual choice for a boy, as it is more commonly used for girls (perhaps surprisingly, it was No. 274 on the U.S. baby girl name chart in 2015 after rising more than 500 places over the last decade). However, Jenna Jameson also used Journey for one of her twin boys, as did The Black Eyed Peas rock musician Taboo.

Fox and Green’s choice may be inspired by the events of the past 12 months — they’ve certainly been on an emotional journey together.

Fox filed for divorce from Green in August 2015, but reports suggest that they have reconciled and are living together in Malibu with their boys. In April, Fox’s third pregnancy was revealed when she showed off an unmistakable baby belly at the premiere of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. Later that month, she and Green were photographed holding hands on the beach during a family vacation in Hawaii, where they wed in 2010.

The new arrival’s second name, River, is the most popular “nature” name: No. 244 on the U.S. baby boy name chart in 2015. Other celebrity parents to choose River for their sons include Keri Russell and Taylor Hanson, and Natasha Henstridge used it as the middle name for her son Tristan. Unlike Journey, over 90 percent of Rivers are boys.
