The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice was a proud mom at daughter Gabriella's fifth-grade graduation Thursday. The mom of four was, of course, without husband Joe, who's three months into his 36-month sentence at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution.

Giudice shared some personal pictures from the graduation on her Instagram account, but not everyone reacted positively. Several commenters took offense to one aspect of the day: Gabriella's dress.

Um, we can't quite see the problem. Yes, it's figure-hugging. It's short. But is it suitable for an 11-year-girl? Hell yeah — if she and her mom are comfortable with it.

Plenty of preteen girls wouldn't feel confident in a dress like this. But should Gabriella be criticized because she doesn't hide her developing body beneath baggy sweats? If the dress were 3 inches longer and a little looser in the fit, would that be acceptable?

It's just a dress. Actually, it's a cute little dress that simply can't be frowned upon because it shows her legs. We're hardly talking Bella Hadid on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet here.

When Giudice's 11-year-old daughter is photographed wearing a split-to-the-thigh, slashed-to-the-navel dress that even a shitload of fashion tape won't keep in one place, then perhaps we can call out the fashion police. Until then, don't y'all have more important things to complain about?
