It’s the news fans of Bringing Up Bates have been waiting for — and luckily the doctors got it right and Zach and Whitney are now parents of a beautiful baby girl.

As part of one of the most famous reality TV families in the world, it was only natural that Whitney and Zach shared every step of their pregnancy journey. They didn't keep us waiting too long to find out the gender of their second born and even revealed what they were going to call their little girl.

We're impressed with their decisiveness — how many parents-to-be choose a name from early in the pregnancy and stick to it?

Kaci isn't a particularly common name — it was #995 in the U.S. baby girl name chart in 2005, before dropping out of the top 1000. It's a modern variation of Acacia, Kacey or Casey, which is an Irish name meaning "brave in battle."

Kaci Lynn is grandbaby number four for Gil and Kelly Jo Bates, joining Bradley, Carson and Ailie (Alyssa and John Webster's daughter) to expand the new generation. Carson's parents Erin and Chad Paine also have a baby on the way, and like Zach and Whitney they have already revealed the gender and the name. Another little girl is on the way, and she’s going to be called Brooklyn Elise.
