Father’s Day is right around the corner, and if the dad in your life is anything like mine, he's borderline impossible to shop for.

It’s not because men are overly picky or snobbish when it comes to gift expectations. It’s because they literally provide no input! Whenever I ask my husband what he wants for Father’s Day, he tells me that he has everything he wants and he really just wants to be with his kids on his special day. Humph, the nerve!

So, this year, I thought I'd get a jump-start on the whole process and do a little shopping for the masses. If you're in my boat (and trust me, there is plenty of room here), take a look at my selections below. I opted for a variety of items to surprise and delight any man in your life.

1. Carnivore Club

The Carnivore Club curates the best artisanal meats from around the world and delivers it right to your door. No, really. If salami and pancetta are something you typically talk about with your foodie, this is the everything gift. Drop mic — you win. Each month’s box is themed around one particular style of cured meats. Examples of past boxes include French charcuterie, Italian salumi, Spanish chorizo, South African biltong and artisanal jerky.

2. Ballpark Blueprint

Sports fans will appreciate a little piece of history added to their man cave. I love how this gift is very dad appropriate, but it still has an aesthetic appeal that any woman would love. It looks like art… but it’s about sports. It’s possible to exist in both worlds. Amazing! Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park, Wrigley Field, Camden Yards – you name the field, and you'll find it. Just make sure you pick the right team before ordering.

3. Beard Pack

Hipster dads will appreciate the all-natural Beard Pack. Listen, if your man has to have facial hair, he might as well have the goods to properly take care of it. I love this full kit because it includes a wash, an oil and a mustache wax. You can’t leave out the mustache!

4. iGrill

We all know dads love to BBQ. Well, now there’s the iGrill bluetooth thermometer, a new tool to help make that job a little easier. Using its four-probe capability, the man in your life can easily track more than one temperature at once! I like my meat well done, and my husband is a medium-rare kind of guy. This is life changing, what I like to call the gift that keeps on giving.

5. Levi's® 505™ Jeans

For a go-to look your man will love over and over again, consider Levi's® 505™ Regular Fit jeans. These pants will take him from the day to night — completely versatile, functional and stylish. I am speaking their language… I know. My husband actually owns a few pairs, and he always comments on the fit.

Guys are concerned about style, of course, but if it doesn’t fit right, it’s not even worth talking about. Levi’s® jeans provide it all. These classic jeans are available at JCPenney in several colors for just $36.99. I suggest a dark and a light so he has some options to impress the ladies. Just kidding.

6. Fitbit Blaze

Fitbits are all the craze in my house. Four out of the five people in my family own one, and we all run around our kitchen island like maniacs after dinner, when the competition gets heated. The newest version — the Fitbit Blaze — is the top of the line, with not only heart rate monitoring and onscreen workouts but the ability to access text messages, calendar alerts and music files. See you at the finish line!

7. Luma

Is Dad looking for a way to protect his family with added online security? Perhaps he wants a kill switch for the Internet when the kids have all had too much screen time? Maybe in his dream of dreams, Dad wants built-in hacker protection. Now, the Luma Surround Wi-Fi Router ensures the family’s network will run at full speed at all times. It’s a total lifesaver! How did we digitally live before this???

8. Toolkit Organizer

I have a confession. I asked my husband for a little hint for the last item on my list. It’s not that I was stumped, but I wanted to be sure I was hitting every type of man while creating this guide. He immediately told me I left out a reference to men who liked to build things. The one item that he’s currently pining for is a toolkit organizer for the garage. I had no idea! I found this stylish number on the Home Depot website, and now we all know what Bill’s getting for Father’s Day — nice and easy.

What are some of your gift ideas for Father’s Day? Would love to hear your thoughts!
