Traditional homemade play dough is always a hit with kids — but add in Peeps (an Easter-time must) and you're upping the ante.

Your kids will love diving in and getting their hands dirty mixing together their own Peeps play dough in a rainbow of colors. Did we mention this DIY smells better than it looks? The cherry on top is that you'll have enough Peeps left over to sneak a few in your mouth, too. Prepare for a major sugar high, because Peeps play dough is coming in hot.

Supplies:

  • Peeps
  • Coconut oil (or other oil)
  • Cornstarch
  • Cream of tartar
  • Microwave-safe bowl

1. Break off 6 Peeps, and place them in a microwave-safe bowl.

2. Add 1/2 tablespoon of coconut oil to the bowl with the Peeps. If you don't have coconut oil on hand, any oil will work.

3. Microwave the Peeps and the oil on high for 30 seconds. The kids will love watching the Peeps puff up as they melt in the microwave.
