Actress Jaime King and her husband Kyle Newman announced the birth of their baby boy with a sweet and candid breastfeeding photo. Thank you, Jaime, for posting a birth announcement photo that feels real and not staged.
We love that she didn’t post a staged photo — with perfect lighting and everyone smiling sweetly at the camera. Instead, she shows how things really are those first few hours after a baby is born. The Hart of Dixie star sits in a hospital chair, covered in blankets, as her robe is pulled down so her son can breastfeed.
Not what we’ve come to expect in a world of flawless magazine cover announcements from celeb moms, but it’s absolutely perfect! Jaime looks fresh-faced and make-up free, as she smiles sweetly at her family.
Her son, 1 ½ year-old James Knight, sits on his dad’s lap, while Newman has his phone in his hand — probably texting friends and family to tell them the baby news. Newman also shared a candid snapshot announcing the birth of their son on his own Instagram page:
This isn’t the first time that the 36-year-old actress has shared a breastfeeding picture, as she shared this photo last summer.
As far as the baby name for their second son, unfortunately we will have to wait. “Name coming soon,” Newman wrote on his baby announcement.
Perhaps they will let their son’s godmother, Taylor Swift, make the baby name announcement? Swift threw King a celeb-packed baby shower shortly after she was named the godmother in this sweet snapshot.
If you are going to have someone look over your baby, Swift seems like the perfect person to do it.
Congratulations to Jaime King and Kyle Newman.
