Mommy tweets: Blake Lively, Gisele, Britney Spears, JWoww, Elsa Pataky
What were some of our favorite celebrity moms up to this week? We rounded up the most buzz-worthy Twitter and Instagram posts including Blake Lively, who shared a first post-baby photo since giving birth to Violet last month. Gisele Bündchen and her kids are gearing up to watch her husband, Tom Brady, at the Super Bowl this weekend, while Britney Spears tweets a (somewhat weird) post to single mom Jennifer Lopez. Chris Hemsworth's wife, Elsa Pataky, and JWoww round out our list of the most newsworthy celebrity moms of the week.
Blake Lively made her first social media appearance since the birth of her first child, a girl reportedly named Violet. Wearing an animal print sweater with her hair in a side braid, the new mom thanked her fans.
"Thank you everyone for the well wishes in this special time," she captioned the photo.
Lively took part in the My Life My Choice event in which she met with sex trafficking survivors to hear their stories and to draw attention to the cause.
"Send some love to our girls in Boston tonight at My Life My Choice. They are the face of empowerment. Watch, A Path Appears, tonight on PBS at 10pm EST, please. I promise the stories from these girls will change your lives like they did mine. #girlpower #apathappears #halfthesky #changeisnow," she wrote.
Now that she has dipped her toe back into social media, perhaps the next photo she posts will be of Baby Violet.
No mention of #deflategate on Gisele Bündchen's social media pages, however, the model and wife of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was excited that her hubby made it yet again to the big game.
Who else was excited? Their three kids, who all wore matching Patriots jerseys.
The 37-year-old hunk recently said that only one of his kids, 7-year-old John, is into sports. The other two, Benjamin and Vivian, could take it or leave it. John is actually Brady's son from a previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan, while Benjamin and Vivian are his children with Gisele.
Brady told reporters that the entire family is sick, which is why Gisele missed the media day in Phoenix ahead of the Super Bowl.
"She's at home taking care of everybody, all the kids. She's gonna come out this weekend. I've had [a cold] for four or five days," he said. "My kids got sick, and then my wife's pretty sick right now, so I brought it, unfortunately, to Phoenix. But I'll be fine. I'll be good."
Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez
Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez have a lot in common — they are both single moms with two kids and very successful careers, however, Spears' recent tweet to Jennifer Lopez did have us scratching our heads a bit.
Spears is a little crazy and we love her for it.
In case you missed the plot of the movie Boy Next Door, Lopez plays a single mom who has a one night stand with the 19-year-old boy next door, who soon turns into a crazy stalker.
Lopez re-tweeted Spears and responded to her, writing "Thank u! You are just as inspiring. Us Moms have to stick together!! #singlemompower #singlemomsaresuperwomen #TheBoyNextDoor."
Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky
Hot dad alert! Elsa Pataky posted some adorable pictures of her kids with her husband, Chris Hemsworth. The couple have 10-month-old twin boys, Tristan and Sasha, along with a 2-year-old daughter named India Rose.
In the picture, the hunky, hands-on dad holds one of the twins in a baby carrier while Elsa holds the other while on the beach. "Enjoying life, best #family #moments! #beach #love #relax #peace," she captioned the photo.
In this most recent snapshot, Pataky, who is also an actress, showed the close bond that the two boys have.
JWoww's daughter Meilani got a Jersey Shore makeover.
"So Roger and I are always trying to figure out who Meilani looks more like, me or Roger? So Roger decided to give Meilani a baby beard, faux hawk, and a muscle-tee so she would look like him! But then we gave her some hair extensions, fake boobs and some hot pink sunglasses and she definitely looks more like me!" she wrote, referring to the picture below, which she posted on Twitter. "LMAO! Just kidding, we decided that our baby is the perfect combo of both mommy and daddy!!! What do you think!?"
The reality star later posted a picture of an In Touch Weekly headline which asked if the star took it "too far" by giving her daughter "fake boobs like mommy."
"Actually no I didn't. It was a joke and in good fun so she can laugh when she's older… Honestly shut the (expletive) up and mind Ur business. I would love (expletive) to say this to my face!" she wrote on her website.
