There are clever Halloween costumes, and then there are epic Halloween costumes. A geek dad who goes by "MechDaddy" started sketching an incredible giant robot costume months before his son was born. This year, the costume finally came to be. And it's perfect.

Using PVC pipe, a cardboard shell, zip ties, Velcro cable wraps, toilet paper tubes and foam board, new dad Ryan created the most amazing father-son costume ever. Ryan wears the bulk of the robot costume, while his infant son, Geraint, "controls" the giant mech. Gamers might recognize Sunder from the MechWarrior series, but you don't need to be familiar with that game to recognize how awesome this costume is.

I thought my mother-son Labyrinth costume was clever, but this blows every other parent-and-baby costume combo out of the water. With laser cannons.
