Reading together is one of the best things you can do for your preschooler. It expands their vocabulary, builds imagination, prepares them for school, instills a love of learning and gives you a chance to spend special time together. Make that time even more enjoyable for both of you by choosing one of our favorite books for preschoolers.

2. The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein
No book explains the gift of giving, and the importance of appreciating those gifts, better than The Giving Tree. This is must-read for all preschoolers, but make sure you have a box of tissues handy — you might need them, mama.
3. If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie is an adorable book about a boy granting a mouse’s requests and the chain of events that follow. Need more? Read Numeroff’s equally silly tale about everything that could happen if you took that mouse to school.
4. Tap the Magic Tree by Christie Matheson
