This cute ornament is a perfect craft for little hands to create. The marshmallow plus the bell equals total cuteness!

Supplies needed:

  • 1 (60 mm) silver bell
  • 2 gold pipe cleaners
  • Glue
  • Black card stock
  • Ribbon
  • Orange and black permanent markers
  • 1 large marshmallow, left out for at least 72 hours (until it is hardened)

Create the snowman's body

Create the snowman body

Cut one of the gold pipe cleaners in half. Twist one of the pieces onto the middle of the other to form a T-shape, as shown. Carefully thread the marshmallow onto the pipe cleaner. Then glue the pipe cleaner–marshmallow piece to the top of the bell. Allow it to dry.

Create the top hat

Create the top hat

Cut a rectangle measuring 1-1/2 x 4 inches out of the black card stock. Fold down 1/4-inch edges on both of the long sides. Cut slits into the folded flaps, as shown. Wrap the rectangle into a tube shape, overlapping just a bit and gluing it into place. Cut a circle out of the card stock measuring slightly larger than the marshmallow. Punch a hole into the middle of the circle, thread it onto the end of the pipe cleaner that is sticking out of the top of the marshmallow and glue the circle in place. Glue the top hat in place on top of that circle. Cut another circle that measures the same as the top of the hat, punch a hole in the middle of that circle, thread it onto the pipe cleaner and glue it in place. Twist the additional pipe cleaner onto the piece of pipe cleaner sticking out of the hat and create a loop. Trim off any excess.

Finishing touches

Use permanent markers to create the face on the marshmallow. Glue a ribbon around the neck, as shown. Attach a strip of ribbon to the brim of the hat.
