Animal crafts you can make with your kids

Vulture handprint craft

Vulture animal craft | Sheknows.com

Supplies:

  • Card stock paper
  • Black paint
  • Red or rust-colored paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Cotton ball
  • Glue
  • Markers

Directions:

  1. First, paint your child’s palm and 4 fingers with black paint and his thumb with red paint. Do not be stingy with the paint or the handprint will not be solid enough.
  2. Next, place your youngster’s hand straight down on the center of the paper, press down gently and be careful not to wiggle their fingers, then lift straight up leaving a handprint behind.
  3. Once you’ve washed your kiddo’s hands and left the handprint a little time to dry, spin the paper around so the fingers of your handprint are upside down — or facing towards you.
  4. Gently pull on the ends of the cotton ball to make your puff a little longer, creating a collar of feathers for your vulture. Glue it onto the spot where the red and the black paint meet at the base of the print of your child’s thumb.
  5. Use markers to draw a yellow beak, an eye and a perch for your child’s vulture handprint craft, and your bird of prey is ready for display.
