May has been named the official ‘Children’s Miracle Month.’ In honor of this, Children’s Miracle Network and SheKnows.com have teamed up to present the ultimate challenge to our incredible readers: Help us raise $1 million for Children’s Miracle Network this month!
How it works
For every dollar you donate to the Children’s Miracle Network on our online fundraiser on May 1-31, you will automatically receive one entry for our Give a Miracle, Win Something Magical grand prize drawing: a 5-day trip for 4 to the Walt Disney World Resort.
After donating, you will also have the opportunity to write a special dedication message for our Miracle Wall and read through the inspirational dedication messages left by others.
Additionally, donors will also receive entries to our daily giveaway where prizes of the day include gift certificates to retailers like Smashbox Cosmetics and JCREW, restaurants such as IHOP and California Pizza Kitchen, and other fun prizes such as tickets to Six Flags theme parks and a portrait package from Picture People!
Why we’re doing this
We are excited to be teaming up with such a great organization as Children’s Miracle Network and helping them raise $1 million for kids in need.
The funds raised through SheKnows.com will help create miracles by funding medical care, research and education that saves and improves the lives of 17 million children treated at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals each year. Holland was one of these kids:
Holland was born at 23 weeks gestation, weighing a startling 1 pound, 3 ounces. In her first 99 days of life, all of which were spent in the neonatal intensive care unit at The Children’s Hospital at Providence, Holland underwent surgery for her heart, received multiple blood transfusions and had laser eye surgery, among other procedures. Despite these challenges, Holland’s smile and personality make her stand out in a crowd or on a playground, where she prefers to spend her time.
