Can you suggest something for a Lord of the Ring wedding?
The wedding expert answers:
There are so many avenues you can go down for this kind of wedding. When you think of Lord of the Rings, it conjures up kind of natural Celtic or medieval kind of feel to the wedding. Its important to incorporate these themes in a subtle fashion as not to make the wedding look to over the top.
Colors: Opulent colors such as deep reds, greens, old gold, etc, but still retain a white kind of flowing feel to bridal wear. Use these colors as accent colors.
Flowers: Herbs, lavender, greenery, wreaths, a very natural undertone, but combined with subtle hints of gold, in the decoration, Pews with raffia bows, large thistles.
Stationery: Your own Celtic symbol, followed through on all stationery, handmade stationery, using natural papers.Scrolls with wax seals, your own coat of arms designed, calligraphy-style invitations.
Favors: Wooden carved lovespoons, mini candles, lavender sachets. Reception: Lots of church candles, black wrought iron candle sticks, garlands, fruits, gold goblets and tableware, embroidered napkins, napkin rings. Velvet swags for room decoration. Church candles could be scented or have an oil added to create a woody kind of fragrance.
Location: Castle setting, banqueting hall, woodlands.
