Your question:
What’s a seating plan and is it necessary? The wedding expert answers:
A seating plan is used to show the layout of the reception and to show guests where they will be sitting. They aren’t a necessity, but are useful in large reception venues such as hotels and where the guest list is high in numbers.

The seating plan can be co-coordinated to color scheme or theme, and can be in various sizes usually 12.

Seating plans is usually placed at the entrance of the dining area.
