Valentine’s Day candy hearts may be cute, but we think they could use a little dose of reality.
Of all of the Valentine’s Day traditions that refuse to die, those chalky, stale, adorable little candy hearts are at the top of the list. Maybe they stick around because we love tradition? Or nostalgia? But either way, since they originated back in 1901, we thought we might help them get on our level about how most of us really feel about Valentine’s Day and what we actually communicate to one another on Feb. 14.
Here’s what we think candy hearts should say if they were as honest as the rest of us:
How much do I wish I had ‘swipe right’ candy hearts to pass out to cute guys I meet? So much.
Here’s the funny thing: Bra optional sounds sexy but what it really means is let’s stay in tonight.
Because the worst part about breaking up is losing your joint Netflix/HBO accounts. OK, not the worst part but close.
