3 Dating resolutions for the new year
If you’re sick and tired of being single, 2012 is the time to meet your match! But before you find your prince, you just might have to change a few things about yourself that are standing in your way. Clear the path to your happily ever after by taking on one of these dating resolutions!
Try something new
If you keep doing the same thing over and over with no results, it's time to make some changes. If you expect to find someone at the same places you always frequent, the odds are against you since you haven't found them yet. Take a step out of your comfort zone in 2012 and try meeting new guys at a new city near your hometown or try out a new hobby you never expected you'd attempt. The more things you try and the more places you go, the more likely you are to meet your match this year, so get out there, girls!
Don't judge a book by its cover
A lot of times, we brush aside a guy because he doesn't meet all of our criteria. You know what we're talking about, ladies: He's too short; he's too skinny; he's a bit too young. This year, resolve to stop judging a guy by his physical attributes alone and take a few minutes to get to know his personality before you move on to the next potential suitor. You'd be surprised at how often opposites attract and how the flaws you originally saw in a guy can become some of your favorite characteristics about him.
Ask and you shall receive
A lot of times, we meet cute and fascinating men through a friend or a friend of a friend, but if you're too proud or shy to ask, you'll never meet the guys in your friends' circles! This year, resolve to be more vocal with your contacts and let them know you're looking to meet someone and would love to know if they have any friends or friends of friends that you might like. Letting your friends do all the work for you helps alleviate stress and assures you of at least a partial background check because let's face it: Unless your friend is playing a practical joke on you, they're not going to set you up with some psycho!
