Getting ready in the drop-off line

Some mornings you’re so busy getting the kids ready there’s no time left to brush your teeth, much less put on a bra. With a little planning, you can get the kids to school on time and look good, too. We asked multitasking moms to share their favorite products for getting ready on the run.

Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo

The latest beauty “cheat” moms are buzzing about is dry shampoo. When there’s no time to wash your hair, give yourself a spritz of this spray-on powder shampoo. It absorbs oil, gives your hair some oomph and makes you look shower-fresh (even if it’s been a few days).

Batiste dry shampoo (Life and Looks, $2)

Lipstick

Lipstick

One of the quickest ways to polish your look is with lip color. Be prepared and keep a tube of your favorite lipstick or lip gloss in the car. Fashion stylist Alexandra Evjen of AVE Styles says a popping lip color is a great way to draw attention away from under-eye circles, messy hair or your gym sweats.

Stila color balm lipstick (Sephora, $22)

Eyelash curler

Eyelash curler

While you’re waiting in the driveway for the kids to grab their backpacks and kiss Dad goodbye, give your tired peepers a lift with a quick eyelash curl. Your eyes will look wider and brighter — always a plus for a frazzled mom. (On days you don’t even have time for a quick eyelash curl, just pop on a pair of oversized sunglasses.)

Laura Mercier eyelash curler (Nordstrom, $16)

Nude flats

Nude flats

No time to pick the perfect shoes in the morning? Keep a pair in your car and slip them on before you leave the driveway. Evjen recommends stashing a pair of nude colored shoes in your car, so they’ll go with any outfit.

Frye Carson ballet (Zappos, $148)

Blazer

Hang a blazer on a hook by the door so you can grab it as you dash out. Evjen loves how a simple blazer thrown over a T-shirt, dress or blouse will quickly take your outfit up a notch (or as one mom told us, at the very least it will hide the fact that you haven’t put on your bra yet).

Cotton blazer (Zara, $129)
