DIY working book clock

Step 4: Trace out book-page hearts to go over the hole

Using a heart-shaped cookie cutter or a stencil, trace out the shape on a ripped-out page of the book.

Cut the heart out of the book page and place it over the exposed part of the clock movement.

Step 5: Put together the rest of the clock

Using the pieces provided to you by the clock movement kit, put together the rest of the clock, including the hour, minute and second hands.

Step 6: Add battery and display!

Insert a AA battery to the back of the clock movement, shut the book and display on your mantel, bookshelf or table!

Now you have a whole new way to display old books and tell time simultaneously.
