We’re huge fans of designer capsule collections (duh!) and we’re super excited to share the news about the Fall 2012 Diet Pepsi x Christian Cota Capsule Collection. The designer — who was named CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalist in 2010 and inducted as a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2011 — has partnered with the brand to create a stunning collection inspired by Diet Pepsi’s imagery throughout the decades!
Just try to digest this neat concept: The designs in the Diet Pepsi x Christian Cota capsule collection take generations of vintage Diet Pepsi graphics into the present with iconic fashion silhouettes and styles inspired from the 1960s to modern day.
Cota previewed the collection at an event in NYC last Thursday and revealed the fifth capsule collection look at his New York Fashion Week 2012 show this weekend. So what can you expect from the fun collaboration? Well, look for lots of shift dresses, off-the-shoulder jersey sweaters and skinny cuffed pants. And what about the fabric? Expect silk fabrics ranging from retro plaids to multicolored prints!
SheKnows was there when the designer presented his new line at 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and let’s just say he seemed pretty ready to rock for springtime style. His designs hinted to us that colors and chaotic patterns are making their way back as the seasons change, and we’re pretty sure his celeb fans — like Blake Lively, Emma Stone and Katy Perry — are going to love them.
