Paul & Joe’s spring 2012 line goes into the American Southwest

The Paul & Joe spring/summer 2012 collection has reached new heights with its intricate prints and patterns. Find out what the French designer, Sophie Albou, was thinking right when she created it.

Paul and Joe Spring/Summer 2012 fashion

The fresh new Paul & Joe collection by Sophie Albou has an American Southwest look with many tribal and zig zag prints, not to mention a generous amount of bright and bold colors — though there’s a fair share of creamy colors for those who are more partial to the softer colors that spring and summer exude.

Her inspiration for this collection comes from her very own vision of a woman riding a motorcycle from the Southwest into Mexico and picking up beaded jewelry and printed flowy dresses to transform her look to “boho chic meets army glamour.”

This specific vision gives the spring/summer line an earthy and a slightly rebellious feel. The collection has no specific year, month or season associated with it. It’s versatile while still making a clear-cut fashion statement.

While the Paul & Joe line is sold all over the world, designer and creator Sophie Albou wants to invade America, which is made crystal clear through this new collection which solely caters to the American Southwest.
