Last night’s Emmy Awards proved to be quite the “family affair,” with ABC’s Modern Family picking up several top honors. The show’s beautiful leading lady, Julie Bowen, earned the coveted Supporting Actress in a Comedy award and glowed all the way to the podium. Here, we show you how to recreate her Emmy look.
Makeup artist Heather Currie prepped the Modern Family star for the big event using a variety of Votre Vu products, and she shared her skin care secrets with SheKnows.
Prep work
Currie started the prep work with Votre Vu’s Duette Luxe Lip Balm and Hand Crème to “allow the moisture to really set in.” She then swiped Fleur Blanc Tonic for all skin types all over Bowen’s skin and nourished skin with the brand’s Attentive Sérum Delicat Pour Le Visage. Votre Vu Tragic Magic Rescue Crème came next, adding a subtle glow, and the skin care prep was finished off with a touch of the brand’s Tout le Monde Antioxidant Eye Gelée in the eye contour.
Finishing touches
After adding foundation and eye shadow, Currie applied a touch of Luxee Yeux Eye Beauty Balm high on Bowen’s cheekbones, just under the eyes, to add a bit of a glow. She finished the look off with a few spritzes of Votre Vu’s À Votre Santé Elixir Essentiel to set the makeup, and enhanced Bowen’s lips with Votre Vu’s Champagne Kisses Enhancing Lip Balm before applying lip-gloss. And voilà, a look fit for a star!
