On-site trained “navigators” create an “In the Know” document for guests when they check in, outlining specific recommendations for that week. They also work one-on-one with hotel guests to curate experiences based on their specific interests and requests. The Navigator phone is also available online and via mobile app.

At Affinia boutique hotels, guests get a complimentary six-choice pillow menu featuring feather, down, hypoallergenic, magnetic therapy, Swedish memory or a sound pillow to hook up any MP3 player. Plus, guests can request a complimentary experience kit — for example, the Stayfit kit features a yoga mat, stretching blocks, fitness DVDs, workout bands, wrist and ankle weights, and a streetwise city map.

Whether you’re a diplomat or a doorman, the Sofitel Washington DC Lafayette Square treats everyone like a VIP. Monday through Friday, Sofitel’s limousine partner, Veolia Transportation, escorts guests to their downtown DC destinations, including Union Station. This exclusive service is offered on a complimentary basis from 7 to 9 a.m. In addition, guests are invited to think of Sofitel as a home away from home, and are encouraged to leave items such as clothes and toiletries for their next visit in a personal garment bag. Then Sofitel will store their belongings and have them waiting in their room when they arrive for their next visit.

Welcome to wine country! Every guestroom at the Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa, California, is stocked with a bottle of wine from Trinitas Cellars.
