The right jeans will hide bulges and figure flaws while also showing off your assets. Don’t be tempted to hide your curvy hips in baggy jeans. Jeans that are too big are not the answer.
Relaxed straight-leg jeans
Relaxed-fit jeans are comfortable and will flatter your figure. Relaxed jeans have a little extra room in the hips and thighs (just where you need it) in comparison to classic straight-leg jeans.
Dark-wash jeans and denim skirts are perfect for women with pear-shaped figures. Dark colors make you look slimmer and help balance your figure. Avoid jeans that are too loose — they’ll make you look larger than you really are. Also steer clear of jeans with small rear pockets, which make your rear end look larger.
If you can find them, jeans without front pockets look fabulous on pear-shaped women because they don’t add bulk. Skinny jeans aren’t a good choice for pears — they accentuate wide hips. Flared jeans can slim your silhouette — just make sure they aren’t super-flared. The five-pocket classic jeans look good on almost any type of figure. Look for denim with a small bit of spandex for a little stretch and ease of movement.
