Tote-ally give back: Fashion with a cause

Totes are great accessories and can go just about anywhere. They are perfect for carrying bulky books to class, simplifying air travel, storing baby products and holding groceries. So it makes perfect sense that big name brands would be including them in their lines. Better yet, charities are using fashion-forward totes to raise money for worthy causes. What better way to support your favorite charities than by doing it in style? Here are a few totes and charities we thought were very worthy of support.

1Celebrities’ creations

Neutrogena’s Wave for Change campaign

As part of Neutrogena’s Wave for Change campaign, Vanessa Hudgens, Hayden Panettiere and Miranda Cosgrove all designed totes to benefit different charities. Hudgens told People that her tote featuring the word “Hope” in the shape of a heart benefits disaster relief projects here in the United States. Proceeds from Panettiere’s tote go to environmental charities and Cosgrove designed hers for educational causes.

Where can you get yourself a trendy tote? Buy two Neutrogena products from Target and receive a tote now through August 31. Neutrogena has also announced that for every cleanser or acne product sold, they will donate one dollar to Global Giving, a non-profit that works at donating money to wide-ranging global causes.

3Buy a tote,
change a life

FEED 3 Guatemala bag

Remember the original Feed bag? The organic product supports the organization’s mission of trying to feed the world, one person at a time. Good news — the feed foundation hasn’t stopped there. They now make all other sorts of products to accomplish that goal. These Feed Guatemala totes are part of the mission.

Each tote ensures that three children will have the nutrients they need for one year. They are colorful, stylish, practical, and most importantly, helping to make the world a better place. The totes are availble at Lord and Taylor for around $40 each.
