The power-packed juices below are full of nutrients and antioxidants, and also help your body flush out toxins. Vargas says most body and skin problems stem from some sort of toxicity so the ingredients she uses help maintain skin health though their ability to cleanse the body.
Get the goods
Parsley: It’s not just a garnish. Parsley is good for cleansing and flushing out impurities, is highly nutritious and contains lots of free-radical fighting antioxidants.
Carrots: Bugs Bunny must have been on to somthing. Carrots contain high levels of antioxidants, which prevent feel radical damage. They are also a good source of vitamin A, which helps in the development and maintenance of skin cells.
Apples: While eating one a day may not keep the doctor away, apples do contain antioxidants which help minimize cell and tissue damage and prevent wrinkles and other signs of ageing.
Cucumber: Use these in your skin-boosting juice for their anti-imflamatory properties and to help keep skin hydrated.
Pineapple: Thse sweet and tart treats contain high levels of antioxidants from vitamin C, help maintain skin elasticity and improve hydration.
