Water hydrates your body (and your hair!) and helps get rid of impurities. Up your normal water intake in the winter in order to stay hydrated and healthy.
Humidify the air
Use a humidifier in your home to add moisture to the air. A humidifier isn’t expensive and is worth the investment because of the money you’ll save on moisturizing hair and skincare products.
Nourish with botancials
Look for hair products containing oils, plant extracts and other botanical ingredients to nourish dry, damaged hair naturally.
Use a dandruff shampoo
Control dry, itchy scalp and dandruff with regular use of gentle dandruff shampoo. You don’t need to use it every day — just once a week should be enough to keep the flakes away.
Rubbing your hair vigorously with a towel causes breakage and frizz. Instead, blot the water out of your hair. Also, try to avoid blow dryers and flat irons as much as possible to keep your hair healthy.
